Wendy Durigon went to Ski Caraibes, located on the Caribbean island of Saint Martin/Sint Maarten (or “SXM”). Here are her favourite places to eat.

Mezza Luna Ristorante is my favourite place to eat in SXM. Everything on the menu is unbelievable…. It is predominantly Italian cuisine with fresh pasta and wood fired pizza but the chef who is Parisian definitely has a French flare on Italian food. The owner was friendly and went through the menu with us to explain each dish. Ingredients are flown in from France twice a week, making everything irresistibly fresh.
I think everything I tried here was utterly amazing. Black truffle linguine, pasta carbonara, tiramisu, a menu just for the pizzas, etc., etc. The main restaurant is situated in Nettle Bay (almost across from Ski Caraibes). The hurricane has done extensive damage to the main part of the ocean side and under reno, but the restaurant has set up a temporary cozy outside patio which was so lovely we went back twice.
A great restaurant on the Dutch side in Simpson Bay is Vesna Taverna. Again, yummy food and a cozy quaint restaurant.
A visit to Anse Marcel is a definite must. The restaurant is only open for lunch and you will need a reservation but make a day of it as the beach the restaurant sits on is like a postcard, the water is warm and calm, and loungers/umbrellas are highly comfy with bar service to your lounger. Anse Marcel Beach Restaurant food is top notch (expensive but worth it), picture perfect views and very relaxing.

The Suns are now on the road and will look to regain homecourt advantage with a win in either of these two games in the Staples Center. While most teams dread going on the road during the grueling regular season, Phoenix actually boasted the best road record in the entire NBA at 24-12. The Playoffs are an entirely different animal of course, but it still a positive note to factor in. While it was a disappointing ending in Game 2, the Suns showed their resilience to fight…
